Terms of service

What you agree to by using Nordsight.

1. The service

Nordsight is an educational planning tool. You answer some questions about yourself; Nordsight illustrates an archetypal allocation; you adjust it freely in a builder; you save it; you can download it as a PDF. There is also a free learning course and a generic, factual market overview.

Nordsight is not a regulated investment adviser, broker, or asset manager. Anything Nordsight outputs is educational and illustrative. Nothing on the site is personalised investment advice within the meaning of MiFID II or the Wertpapierinstitutsgesetz.

2. Your account

You need an account to save plans, download reports, or use imports. Accounts are personal and not transferable. Don't share your password. We may suspend or terminate accounts used for spam, abuse, or anything that could harm other users.

3. Tiers and limits

  • Guest: no account — local-only plan building, no saves, no imports.
  • Member (free): a free account — save plans, take the course, import positions (with a fair-use cap on AI-assisted imports, since those calls cost money), unlimited manual entry.

There are currently no paid tiers. If paid features are introduced later, their terms (price, billing, renewal, withdrawal) will be added here first.

4. Payments

Nordsight currently offers no paid services and processes no payments. If a paid tier is introduced, this section will be updated with the billing terms (payment provider, auto-renewal, and your EU right of withdrawal under §312g BGB).

5. What Nordsight doesn't do

  • We never execute trades on your behalf. Nordsight is analysis and education, not a route to trade.
  • We never have your broker credentials. We never ask for them.
  • Any referral or affiliate links (e.g. to brokers) are clearly labelled as advertising. Our educational content and any comparisons are not shaped by who pays a referral fee.
  • We never claim our analysis beats the market. The honest goal is helping you build a portfolio you can defend and won't panic-sell.

6. Your responsibility

Investing involves risk of loss. You can lose money — sometimes a lot of money — including the entire amount invested. You alone decide what to actually buy or sell. You alone are responsible for those decisions and any losses or taxes that flow from them.

7. Intellectual property

Nordsight's code, design, and the courseware are owned by Gereon Viktor Seifert. Your data (your plans, your positions, your profile answers) is yours; you grant us a limited licence to store and process it to provide the service. Revoking that licence requires deleting your account.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by German law: Nordsight's liability is limited to direct damages arising from intent or gross negligence. We are not liable for investment outcomes, market events, third-party services, or losses flowing from your decisions made in reliance on Nordsight's outputs.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where German law disallows such a limit (e.g. for injury to life, body, or health, or under the Produkthaftungsgesetz).

9. Changes

Material changes to these terms get notice via email before they take effect. Continued use after the notice period means acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence are unaffected.
